iOS App Builder: An iPhone App Without a Mac

Mythex is an AI iOS app builder that does not need a Mac: you build the app by chatting, publish it, and on the Pro plan Mythex builds the iPhone app on its own Macs. It signs the build with your App Store Connect key and uploads it to your TestFlight, ready for testers.

Who it's for

People who want their app on iPhones but don't own a Mac, don't want to learn Xcode, or work on Windows. It fits apps such as customer portals, booking, membership and team tools. The iPhone app opens your published app; for screens written natively in Swift, an iOS developer or native tool is the right call.

What you can build

  • A members-only app for a club or gym, shared through TestFlight first
  • A customer portal where clients check orders on their iPhone
  • An appointment app for a clinic or salon
  • A team inspection checklist with photo uploads

How the iPhone app builder works

Build and publish the app in Mythex first. Then open Publish → iPhone and press Build iPhone app, or simply write “build the iPhone app”. The first time, Mythex pauses and asks you to connect App Store Connect. After that the build runs on Mythex's Macs, and the card in the chat ends at In TestFlight. Apple then processes the build for 10–30 minutes before testers can install it.

What you need from Apple

Apple requires every iPhone build to be signed by a developer account, so a paid Apple Developer Program membership is needed. In App Store Connect you create a Team API key with the Admin role, download its .p8 file once, and drop it into Mythex with the Issuer ID. Mythex checks the key with Apple before saving it, encrypted, for that project. You also create the app once in App Store Connect; the chat gives you the exact name and Bundle ID to use.

  • Apple Developer Program membership
  • An App Store Connect Team key (Admin) as a .p8 file, plus the Issuer ID
  • The app created once in App Store Connect

From TestFlight to the App Store

When you are ready for the public App Store, ask the agent. It attaches the build, fills in what it can and asks you before submitting for review; Apple then reviews the app as it does any other. The App Privacy answers live only on the App Store Connect website, and the chat tells you what to put there.

An iOS app builder for Windows users

Because the builds run on Mythex's Macs and the whole product runs in the browser, you can make an iPhone app from a Windows PC or a Chromebook. Your part is the chat and the two Apple steps above; the signing and uploading happen on Mythex's side. When something on Apple's end needs you, such as creating the app or reconnecting a key, the build card says exactly what to do.

A prompt to start from

Build an iPhone-friendly app for a yoga studio. Members sign up, browse this week's classes, book a spot and cancel up to two hours before. Show remaining spots on each class and a My bookings tab. Use a bottom tab bar, large tap targets and a real database.

Questions

Can I build an iPhone app without a Mac?

Yes. On Pro, iPhone builds run on Mythex's own Macs. You need an Apple Developer account and an App Store Connect API key, not a Mac or Xcode.

Is there a free iOS app builder?

You can build and publish the app on Mythex Free and open it in Safari on an iPhone. The signed iPhone build sent to TestFlight is part of Pro at $25/month, and Apple charges its own yearly fee for the Developer Program.

Does Mythex publish to the App Store for me?

It gets the build into TestFlight, and when you ask it prepares the App Store submission. It asks before submitting anything, and Apple's review decides whether the app goes live.

Does it write a native Swift app?

No. The iPhone app opens your published app, which keeps one project for the web and the phone. Publishing a change in Mythex updates what iPhone users see.

Can my team use the app before it's public?

Yes, that is what TestFlight is for. Add testers in App Store Connect, and once Apple finishes processing a build they install it with the TestFlight app.
