Campsite Booking Software and Websites, Made by Describing Your Site

Mythex can replace a campsite's paper site map with a booking system that knows every pitch, its hookup and its size limit, charges extras for dogs, cars and awnings, and takes a deposit. Add a website with real pitch photos, a portal for seasonal holders and an arrival list for reception, check it in a live preview, and publish it.

Pitch availability you can trust in August

A campsite makes most of its year in a few weeks of school holidays and long weekends, then sits half empty on spring and autumn weekdays. Bookings arrive by phone, email and booking sites, and availability is worked out on a paper map with pencil marks. Guests turn up with a second car, two dogs and friends who were not on the booking. Seasonal pitch holders pay in instalments and ask about their electricity. Reception queues on Friday afternoon, the shower blocks need cleaning by the clock, and propane runs out on the one weekend you cannot get a delivery.

  • Pitch-level availability with hookups and size limits
  • Extras per person, dog, car and awning on the booking
  • Minimum stays on bank holidays and peak weeks
  • Seasonal pitches removed from nightly availability
  • Deposits with a balance due before arrival

What you can build for campsites

Bookings by pitch, priced with every extra

Guests choose a pitch type or a specific pitch number, with hookup, hardstanding and maximum length shown. Extras for people, dogs, cars and awnings are itemised, holiday weekends enforce a minimum stay, and a deposit holds the booking with the balance due before arrival.

Build a booking system for my campsite. We have 40 tent pitches, 25 caravan and motorhome pitches (with electric hookup, max length 8m) and 4 cabins. Guests pick a pitch type or a specific pitch number for a small fee. Price per pitch per night plus extras per adult, child, dog, extra car and awning. Bank holiday weekends need 3 nights minimum. Take a 25% deposit and the balance 14 days before arrival.

A site map and honest pitch photos

Show a map of pitch areas with hookups, shade and distance to the facilities block, with real photos of each pitch type. Spell out rules on dogs, campfires, quiet hours and arrival times, list facilities honestly including Wi-Fi coverage, and give directions for large rigs that avoid narrow lanes.

Create a website for my campsite with a clickable site map image where each pitch area shows its type, hookup, shade and photos, a page of site rules (dogs on leads, fire pits only, quiet after 10pm, arrivals 2-8pm), a facilities page, and directions for motorhomes avoiding the low bridge on the B-road.

A portal for seasonal pitch holders first

Seasonal guests are with you all season, pay in instalments and ask the same questions. A login shows their contract, payments made and due, and electricity meter readings with charges. Weekend guests can see their booking, balance, pitch number and the gate code, released close to the date.

Make a guest portal for my campsite. Seasonal pitch holders log in to see their contract, instalment payments with due dates and paid status, and monthly electricity meter readings with charges. Nightly guests see their booking, balance due and pitch number, and the gate code appears 48 hours before arrival.

Firewood and welcome packs waiting at the pitch

Offer firewood, propane, breakfast packs and hire items like bikes and kayaks as add-ons when guests book. The arrival list shows what to drop at each pitch, and pre-orders tell you how much to stock before the weekend.

Add a shop to my campsite bookings where guests add firewood bags, propane swaps, a breakfast pack and daily bike or kayak hire. Add-ons attach to the booking, and reception gets a daily list of what to deliver to which pitch.

Occupancy by pitch type, week by week

See today's arrivals and departures, occupancy by pitch type and week against last season, and revenue from pitches, extras and the shop side by side. Being full on hookups and half empty on the tent field is a signal to change prices or convert space.

Build a dashboard for my campsite showing today's arrivals and departures, weekly occupancy for tent, hookup and cabin pitches compared with last season, and revenue split between pitches, extras and shop add-ons.

Seasonal staff rotas and cleaning rounds

Put more people on reception on Friday afternoons, schedule shower block cleans by the clock in peak weeks, and plan cabin changeovers between checkout and check-in. Seasonal staff check their shifts and tasks from a phone browser.

Make a staff scheduling app for my campsite. Reception needs 2 people on Fridays 2-8pm, shower blocks are cleaned at 7am, 1pm and 6pm in July and August, and cabin changeovers happen between 10am checkout and 3pm check-in. Staff log in on their phones to see shifts and tick off tasks.

From the paper map to pitch-level booking

Copy the paper map first: give every pitch a number, a type, its hookup and its maximum length, and mark the seasonal ones so they never appear for nightly booking. Then enter next season's existing bookings before you open online booking, so nothing double-books. Run phone bookings through the same system from day one. Once pitches and bookings are in, the arrival list, the portal and the occupancy dashboard all read from the same records.

  • Pitch numbers, types, hookups and lengths
  • Prices per night, extras and minimum stays
  • Bookings already taken for next season

Fill April and September with a targeted offer

Summer sells itself. Spring and autumn weekdays are where an offer page earns its keep: a midweek price for retirees and remote workers, a cabin deal, or a block of pitches for a caravan club rally with one lead contact and a vehicle list. Before you open peak weeks to the public, contact last year's returning families and offer them their favourite pitch first.

Questions

Can guests pick a specific pitch number?

Yes. Ask for pitch-level booking so guests choose a number, or let them book a type and assign pitches yourself. Many sites charge a small fee for a chosen pitch.

Can I charge extra for dogs, cars and awnings?

Yes. Extras can be priced per night and itemised on the booking, so the total is clear before anyone reaches the barrier.

Can I take deposits online?

Yes. Set a deposit and a balance due date. Card payments go through a payment provider account you connect yourself.

Can seasonal guests see their electricity usage?

Yes. Log meter readings per pitch and they appear in that guest's portal with any charges.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe your site and Mythex builds the booking system with a live preview. Change anything by chatting.

Is it free?

You can build and publish on the Free plan with daily credits and no card. Pro is $25/month and adds a custom domain, code editing and more credits.
