Photography Business Apps: Enquiries, Contracts, Galleries and Print Sales in One Place
Mythex builds the software a working photographer actually uses: a portfolio split by type of work, a booking flow that only holds a date once the deposit lands, private client galleries and a print shop that sells straight from them. You describe how your jobs run from enquiry to delivery, and it builds a real app with a database and file storage that you publish in one click.
Where a photography job gets lost
A typical job starts as an Instagram message or an email, becomes a quote, then a contract and a deposit, then a shoot, then ten or twenty hours of editing, and finally a gallery sent weeks later. Each step tends to sit in a different tool, so the questionnaire is in one inbox, the contract in another service and the gallery on a file-sharing link. Weddings and outdoor sessions crowd the spring-to-autumn months and family portraits pile up before the holidays, which is exactly when things slip. What a photographer needs is one record per job that carries it from first message to final print order.
- Enquiries that capture date, location and shoot type straight away
- Dates held only after contract and deposit
- Editing time reserved after every shoot
- Private galleries that do not expire
- Print and album orders linked to the chosen image
- A record of which venue or planner sent each client
What you can build for photographers
A portfolio split the way clients shop
A couple planning a wedding and a marketing manager booking headshots want to see different work. Give each type its own gallery page with fifteen strong images rather than two hundred mixed ones, a starting price or typical investment, and an enquiry form asking for the date, location and shoot type so you can check availability before replying.
Build a portfolio website for my photography business with separate galleries for weddings, family portraits and commercial work, a starting price on each, and an enquiry form that asks for date, location, shoot type and how they found me. Compress images so it loads fast on phones.
Booking that blocks the whole Saturday
Weddings and events take the full day, not a slot. Location shoots need travel time either side. Every shoot type can reserve editing days afterwards so your calendar shows real capacity, and a date only turns from pencilled to confirmed once the contract is signed and the deposit recorded.
Make a booking calendar for my photography work where weddings block the whole day, portrait sessions are two-hour slots with travel time added, and each shoot reserves editing days afterwards. A date stays 'pencilled' until the contract is accepted and the deposit is marked paid.
One login per client: contract, questionnaire, gallery
Clients sign in to see their contract, payment schedule and shoot details. A few weeks before a wedding the portal asks for the family group list with names, which saves twenty minutes of shouting on the day. After delivery the gallery sits in the same place, with favourites and print requests.
Create a client portal for my photography business. Each client logs in to see their contract, payment schedule, a planning questionnaire with family group shots and must-have moments, and later their private gallery where they can mark favourites and request prints.
A print shop that sells from the gallery
The best time to sell a wall print is the fortnight after a client first sees their photos. Let them pick an image from their gallery, choose a size and finish for prints, canvases or albums, and send the order to you with the image reference so your lab gets exactly the right file.
Add a print store to my client galleries: clients choose an image, then a product (print, canvas or album) with size and finish options. Save each order with the image file name so I can pass it to my print lab, and show me an order list by status.
Quotes built from packages, with an expiry date
Start from your packages and add extra hours, a second shooter or an album. Commercial quotes list usage rights, deliverables and image count. Every quote expires after a set number of days and says plainly that the date is not held until booked.
Build a quote tool for my photography business: start from a package, add extras like extra hours, second shooter and albums, include usage rights for commercial jobs, and set an expiry date. The client accepts online and the acceptance is recorded with their name and date.
An enquiry pipeline that remembers anniversaries
Move each enquiry from new to quoted to booked to delivered, with shoot type, package and lead source. Filter past clients due an anniversary or annual family session, and after a season you will see whether venues, planners or past clients send you the most work.
Make a CRM for my photography business with enquiries moving through new, quoted, booked and delivered, storing shoot type, date, package and lead source. Show past clients whose anniversary or yearly family session is coming up next month.
What to put in on day one
Start with the enquiry form and the booking calendar, because double-booked Saturdays cost the most. Add your current season's confirmed shoots by hand so the calendar is real from the first week. Galleries and the print store can follow once a few clients have used the portal for contracts and questionnaires.
- Your packages and starting prices
- Every confirmed date for the next twelve months
- Editing turnaround per shoot type
Taking deposits and print payments
Mythex builds the deposit invoices, balances and print orders, and tracks what is paid. Charging cards needs a payment provider account in your own name, which you connect from chat once the flow works. Many photographers make the balance due before the shoot, so the day itself is only about the pictures.
Questions
Can I deliver client galleries through my own app?
Yes. Photos are stored in the app's file storage and each client sees only their own gallery after logging in. Storage comes out of your monthly Cloud credits, so large wedding galleries use more of them.
Can clients sign a contract and pay a deposit online?
The app can show the contract with an accept button that records the name and date, and track the deposit. Card payments need a payment provider account you connect yourself.
Will the booking calendar stop me double-booking a wedding date?
Yes. Ask for full-day blocks for weddings and events, and the date disappears from availability once confirmed. You can also hold editing days after each shoot.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the site and the workflow in plain language and change it by chatting. The code is there to read, and to edit or export on Pro.
Is it free to start?
Yes. The Free plan needs no credit card and gives daily credits to build and publish. Pro is $25/month and adds a custom domain, code editing and export.
