Spin Studio Booking with Bike Maps, Class Credits and Waitlists
Mythex lets an indoor cycling studio build booking where riders choose their bike from a studio map, class packs and memberships that track credits and expiry, waitlists that promote automatically, and a rider page with credits left and ride milestones. Describe your schedule and rules in chat and publish.
What the front desk is remembering
The 6:30am ride and the 6pm ride fill within minutes of booking opening. Regulars want the corner bike or the one in front of the instructor. Some riders are on ten-packs that expire, some on unlimited memberships that let them hold five bikes they may not use. Late cancellations need a penalty applied the same way for everyone. A new rider arrives without clip-in shoes and needs help with saddle height. Instructors have followings and music styles, and the 5am cover call has to go to someone who can teach that format. Most of this is held by a booking app, a spreadsheet and a front desk that knows who likes bike 14. Software helps when it keeps all of it in one place.
- Bike selection from a studio map
- Credits deducted from packs on booking
- Late cancellation and no-show rules
- Automatic waitlist promotion
- A cap on future bookings for unlimited members
- Pack expiry reminders
What you can build for indoor cycling studios
Pick your bike, book your ride
The schedule shows instructor, style and music theme. Riders tap a bike on the studio map and the credit comes off their pack. Late cancellations lose the credit, waitlisted riders move up automatically when a bike frees, and the booking window opens at a set time.
Build class booking for my indoor cycling studio with a 30-bike studio map. Riders choose a specific bike, each booking deducts a credit, cancellations within 12 hours lose the credit, and the waitlist promotes the next rider automatically. Bookings open 7 days ahead at noon.
Unlimited, with a fair cap
Unlimited members can hold a set number of future classes, such as five, so prime bikes stay open. Packs and memberships can have different booking windows. Freezes and cancellations follow written rules.
Make memberships for my spin studio: unlimited monthly members can hold at most five future bookings, pack riders book 7 days ahead and members 9 days ahead, and members can request a freeze of up to 4 weeks a year.
Credits left and the hundredth ride
Riders see credits remaining and the expiry date, upcoming bikes, total rides with milestones, and can request a freeze, upgrade or plan change without emailing the desk. A reminder goes out a week before credits lapse.
Create a rider portal for my cycling studio showing credits left and expiry date, upcoming bookings with bike number, total rides with milestones at 50 and 100, and buttons to request a freeze or plan change.
Intro offers that turn into packs
Class packs, a three-ride intro offer valid for a few weeks, gift cards that add credits, and apparel, shoes and bottles for pickup at the studio.
Build a shop for my spin studio selling a 3-ride intro offer valid 21 days, 5, 10 and 20 class packs that add credits, gift cards, and studio tanks and caps by size for pickup.
Follow up intro riders from their favourite instructor
A list of riders whose intro offer ended without a purchase, with the instructor they rode with most and their usual time slot, so the follow-up suggests a real class. Corporate and private booking contacts sit alongside.
Make a CRM for my cycling studio listing intro riders who finished their offer but did not buy, with their most-ridden instructor and usual class time. Track companies that booked private rides.
Fill rate by instructor and slot
Average fill per instructor and time slot, credits used and expired, and how many intro riders are still riding after two months.
Build a dashboard for my studio showing average fill rate by instructor and time slot, credits used versus expired by pack type, and retention of intro riders after 30 and 60 days.
Make the first ride less scary
New riders often leave after one class because they felt lost. Add a first-ride guide to the website and the booking confirmation: arrive fifteen minutes early, shoes are provided or for rent, how bike setup works, bring water. Flag first-timers on the instructor's class list so someone helps them clip in.
- First-ride flag on the class list
- Shoe size captured at booking
- A short clip-in video
Instructor cover by class style
Record which styles each instructor can teach, such as rhythm, endurance or power, and the cover picker shows only those qualified. The front desk rota covers the first early class and the last evening ride, and bike maintenance is scheduled when the studio is empty.
Questions
Can riders choose their bike when booking?
Yes. A studio map shows which bikes are free, and the booking records the bike number.
Can we sell class packs online?
Yes. Packs add credits to the rider's account after purchase, with card payments through a provider you link with your own account.
Can riders book from their phones?
Yes, in any phone browser. On Pro, Mythex can also turn the published app into Android and iPhone apps that open it.
Do I need to code?
No. Describe your schedule and rules in chat and change them by asking.
How much does it cost?
The Free plan needs no card. Pro is $25 a month for a custom domain, code editing, export and more credits.
