A track sells short arrive-and-drive sessions, grand prix formats with qualifying, heats and a final, and exclusive track time for companies and stag groups. Each session is capped by the karts that are running, and junior karts are a separate count. Every driver needs a briefing, a helmet and suit, an age check and a signed declaration, and group bookers rarely send names ahead. The timing system records every lap, but the results go out on a printed slip that ends up in a car door. Behind the scenes, marshals, mechanics and kart servicing all have to line up with the booking calendar.
