The right Lovable alternative depends on what Lovable is not giving you. For a faster prototype, try Bolt; for a full IDE or background jobs, Replit; for Next.js on Vercel, v0; for a similar managed experience, Base44; for native mobile apps, FlutterFlow; and for Lovable's chat-first start plus a code editor, terminal, database and hosting in one workspace, Mythex.
Lovable is a strong product, and for many people it remains the right choice. This guide is about the cases where it is not, with prices from each vendor's own pages as of October 2026.

Lovable in brief
As a baseline: Lovable describes itself as a full-stack AI development platform for web applications. You chat, it builds frontend, backend, database and login, and a preview toolbar lets you select elements and edit text on the page. Its managed backend, Lovable Cloud, is built on Supabase and includes a database, storage, auth and functions.
As of October 2026, Free gives 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month. Pro starts at $25/month for 100 credits and Business at $50/month, with higher credit tiers on both. Custom domains, code editing and removing the "Edit with Lovable" badge are on Pro; SSO is on Business. Plans are priced by credits rather than seats, and workspaces allow unlimited members. See Lovable's plans.
Why people look for alternatives
Common, legitimate reasons, based on how Lovable describes its own product:
- You need a native mobile app. Lovable builds web apps.
- You want a different backend or language. Lovable's backend is its Supabase-based Cloud; a Python service or a scheduled worker is outside that model.
- You want a full developer environment. Lovable offers code editing on paid plans, but it is not built around an IDE and terminal.
- You want visual programming instead of prompting.
- You need features for a specific audience, such as Arabic and right-to-left interfaces, or portals with hundreds of outside users.
- Credit-based pricing does not suit how you work. Some people prefer token, seat or workload-unit pricing; others simply want a second tool to compare against.
1. Mythex: best for chat plus code, database and hosting in one workspace
What it is. Mythex (that's us) is an AI app builder made in Dubai, UAE, with the same chat-first start as Lovable. You describe the app in Build, Plan or Ask mode, in English, Arabic or any of 69 languages, and it writes the code and runs it in a live preview inside a private cloud workspace. Behind the chat there is a code editor, file tree and terminal. The default stack is Vite, React, TypeScript and Tailwind; you can ask for Next.js, a static site, or a Python, Node, C# or Java API alongside it. Each project can get a dedicated Postgres database and file storage, secrets are stored per project, checkpoints let you roll back, and you publish with one click to yourname.mythex.app or a custom domain on Pro.
Strengths. The code, terminal, database and hosting sit in one workspace, so a non-JavaScript backend or a quick look at a file is never in a different tool. Pro adds full code editing, export and GitHub sync. Arabic and right-to-left apps, including bilingual sites, are a first-class case. An MCP server lets Claude, Cursor or Codex build in Mythex (tool calls need Pro). Business adds roles, members-only apps, Google Workspace SSO and required two-factor sign-in.
Limits. No visual on-page editor: you change things by chatting or editing code. Login and payments in your app use your own provider and keys rather than a managed auth product like Lovable Cloud's. Mythex builds web apps; on Pro it can wrap a web app as an Android and iPhone app with Capacitor, but that is your web app inside a phone shell, not native UI. Export and code editing need Pro.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free gives 5 credits a day (up to 30 a month), read-only code and publishing. Pro is $25/month or $250/year for 100 credits a month plus daily credits, with full code editing, export, GitHub sync and custom domains. Business starts at $50/month and Enterprise at $680/month. Members are unlimited with no per-seat fee. See Mythex plans.
Pick it over Lovable if you want the code, terminal, database and hosting in one workspace, a non-JavaScript backend in the same project, or an Arabic-first app. Stay with Lovable if on-preview visual editing or its managed auth and backend are what you value most. 2. Bolt: best for the fastest prototype in the browser
What it is. Bolt, from StackBlitz, builds websites, web apps and mobile apps (through Expo) in your browser using WebContainers, which makes the first preview very quick. Bolt Cloud adds hosting, databases and custom domains on Pro, plus connectors and MCP.
Strengths. Speed to a first preview, a wide choice of JavaScript frameworks, and an Expo path toward TestFlight and the App Store with your own developer accounts.
Limits. Token use grows with project size. Backends stay in the JavaScript world. Free sites carry Bolt branding and cannot use a custom domain.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free, 1M tokens a month (300K a day). Pro $25/month for 10M tokens with rollover and custom domains. Teams $30 per member per month. Yearly saves up to 28%. Bolt pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if speed to a first preview and framework choice matter more than a guided backend. Stay with Lovable if you want to edit on the preview rather than in code. Full comparison: Lovable vs Bolt vs Replit.
3. Replit: best for an IDE, any language, and App Store apps
What it is. Replit pairs an AI Agent with a full cloud IDE, built-in database, auth and hosting, and several deployment types, including always-on and scheduled ones. Its docs describe building Expo mobile apps and publishing them to the App Store through a Launch wizard, with an Apple Developer membership.
Strengths. Background workers, bots, scheduled jobs and many languages, all in one cloud machine, with a real IDE when you want it.
Limits. The IDE is always there, which can feel like a lot for non-developers. Agent and hosting usage are metered on top of the plan.
Pricing as of October 2026. Core $20/month ($18 billed annually); Pro $100/month ($90 billed annually) with up to 15 collaborators. Replit pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if you need a background worker, a bot, a non-JavaScript language or an iPhone app. Stay with Lovable if the IDE feels like too much. More: Replit alternatives.
4. v0: best for teams on Vercel and Next.js
What it is. v0 is Vercel's agent for UI and full-stack apps using Next.js, Tailwind and shadcn/ui, with GitHub sync, a visual Design Mode and deployment to Vercel.
Strengths. Strong UI generation and code that drops straight into an existing Next.js repository.
Limits. Databases and other services come through integrations. Paid plans are per user.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free with 7 messages a day, plus $5 one-time credits for new users; Plus $30 per user per month; Business $100 per user per month. v0 pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if your company already runs on Vercel and you want code for an existing Next.js repo. Stay with Lovable if you want the backend handled for you. More: Lovable vs v0.
5. Base44: best for a similar all-in-one with a visual editor
What it is. Base44 builds apps and websites from a prompt with a managed backend, auth, integrations and hosting built in, plus a visual editor.
Strengths. Very few decisions, and a pricing shape based on message and integration credits. Paid plans add in-app code edits and custom domains.
Limits. GitHub integration starts at the Builder plan. As of October 2026 its docs describe submitting apps to the App Store and Google Play in a web-view wrapper, with the store files on the Builder plan and up.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free, 25 message credits a month; billed annually, Starter $16/month, Builder $40/month (with GitHub), Pro $80/month and Elite $160/month. Base44 pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if you want a similar all-in-one approach with a different pricing shape. Stay with Lovable if you want Git sync without moving to a higher tier. More: Base44 alternatives.
6. Bubble: best for visual programming, web plus native
What it is. Bubble is a visual no-code platform that combines AI prompting with a visual editor, for web apps and native iOS and Android apps.
Strengths. Every workflow, data rule and privacy setting is visible and editable without code, and one platform covers web and native mobile.
Limits. Its docs say apps cannot be exported as code. Usage is metered in workload units, and a paid plan is needed to deploy a live mobile app.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free with 50K workload units; Starter $59/month, Growth $209/month and Team $549/month, billed annually. Bubble pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if you want to control every workflow visually and need native mobile from one platform. Stay with Lovable if owning the code matters. More: Bubble alternatives.
7. FlutterFlow: best for native mobile with a visual editor
What it is. FlutterFlow is a visual builder for mobile, web and desktop apps on Flutter, with AI generation, Firebase and Supabase integrations and one-click app store deployment on paid plans.
Strengths. A direct route to native apps in both stores, with Flutter code download from Basic and GitHub from Growth.
Limits. It is visual first; AI requests are capped (50 a month on Basic). Expect a learning curve.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free; Basic $39/month; Growth $80/month for the first seat; Business $150/month for the first seat. FlutterFlow pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if the product must be a native phone app. Stay with Lovable if a web app is enough and you prefer chat. More: FlutterFlow alternatives.
8. Anything: best for prompting a phone app
What it is. Anything builds mobile apps, websites and tools from a description. Its docs say it generates Expo (React Native) code, lets you test on your phone with Expo Go, and submits to the App Store through TestFlight; Google Play publishing is in beta.
Strengths. Lovable-style prompting, but aimed at phone apps, with an App Store review check before you submit.
Limits. An Apple Developer account ($99/year, per its docs) is needed for the App Store, and Google Play is still beta.
Pricing as of October 2026. Pro $19/month for 20K credits with custom domains; a $199/month tier adds more credits. Anything pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if you want chat-first building but the result must be a phone app. Stay with Lovable if the product is a web app. More: the best AI mobile app builders.
9. Zite: best for business apps with unlimited users
What it is. Zite is an AI app builder for business software: internal tools, client portals, dashboards and workflows, with a built-in Postgres database you can export, user authentication with roles, and MCP access.
Strengths. Unlimited users on every plan, which suits portals with many outside users. Business adds white-label emails and unlimited custom domains.
Limits. Aimed at business apps, not consumer products. SSO is listed for Enterprise, and records are capped per plan.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free with 50 credits; Pro $20/month billed annually; Business $75/month billed annually. Zite pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if you are building internal tools or a client portal for a large number of users. Stay with Lovable if you are building a consumer product.
10. Softr: best for portals on top of your existing data
What it is. Softr builds client portals and internal tools. Its AI Co-Builder creates the database, pages, user roles and logic, and it connects to Airtable, Notion, Google Sheets and more on every plan, with SQL databases and HubSpot on higher tiers.
Strengths. Mature user groups and record-level permissions, plus several login methods out of the box.
Limits. It is block-based, so you do not get generated code, and some data sources and permissions are on higher plans.
Pricing as of October 2026. A free plan; paid plans on Softr's pricing page.
Pick it over Lovable if your data already lives in Airtable or Sheets and you need logins and permissions quickly. Stay with Lovable if you need a custom product rather than a portal. More: Mythex vs Softr.
11. Cursor: best for developers in their own repository
What it is. Cursor is not an app builder: it is an AI code editor for developers working in a codebase on their own machine. You provide the hosting and database.
Strengths. Full control of the stack, and AI help across a whole repository.
Limits. You need to set up and deploy the project yourself.
Pricing as of October 2026. Free; individual plans from $8 to $200 a month; Teams from $30 per user per month. Cursor pricing.
Pick it over Lovable if you are a developer and want AI inside your editor on an existing repo. Stay with Lovable if you do not want to set up a local project and deployment. Cursor can also drive Mythex over MCP. More: Cursor alternatives.
What to check in any alternative
Lovable bundles several things that are easy to take for granted until you leave. Before committing to a replacement, check each of these in its docs, not just its homepage.
A backend you do not have to assemble. Lovable Cloud gives you a database, storage, auth and functions without a second account. Base44, Replit, Zite and Mythex also include a database; Bolt includes one through Bolt Cloud; v0 and Cursor expect you to connect services. If you do not want to sign up for a separate database provider, cross off the tools that need one.
Login for your app's users. Lovable's backend includes authentication. Some alternatives include managed login (Base44, Replit, Zite, Softr), while others, including Mythex, have you add your own auth provider and keys. Neither is wrong; the second gives you more control and more setup.
Editing on the page. Selecting an element in the preview and changing it is one of Lovable's most-loved features. Base44, Bubble, Softr and v0's Design Mode offer some form of visual editing. Mythex, Replit and Cursor do not; you describe the change or edit the code.
A clean exit. Lovable's Git sync means you can always take the code. Check what the alternative offers and on which plan: Mythex and Base44 gate GitHub to paid plans, FlutterFlow gates code download to Basic and GitHub to Growth, and Bubble does not export code at all.
Pricing that matches your pace. Lovable's credits are spent per build message. Bolt meters tokens, which grow with project size; Bubble meters workload units, which grow with app traffic; v0 and Cursor team plans charge per user. Estimate a busy month, not an average one.
Team access. Lovable workspaces allow unlimited members. So do Mythex and Zite; v0, Bolt Teams and FlutterFlow charge per seat. If several people will build, this can matter more than the headline price.
Language and direction. If your app's users read Arabic, Hebrew or Urdu, test right-to-left layout in the free tier before anything else. It is one of the areas where tools differ most.
How we compared
We compared publicly stated features and pricing from each vendor's own website and documentation as of October 2026. We did not run hands-on benchmarks, and we do not make claims about output quality we cannot link to. For each alternative we looked at:
- How you build (chat, visual editor, IDE)
- Backend: database, login and hosting
- Mobile support: web only, a wrapped web app, or native
- Code ownership: editing, export and GitHub
- Free tier, first paid plan, and how usage is metered
Mythex is our product, so it is listed first and labelled. Where a vendor's page did not state something, we say so instead of guessing.
Which one should you choose?
Match the alternative to the reason you are leaving.
- "I need a phone app in the stores." FlutterFlow, Anything, Bubble, or Replit (iOS via Expo). If a web app inside a phone shell is enough, Mythex on Pro.
- "I want the code and a terminal next to the chat." Mythex or Replit.
- "I just want a faster prototype." Bolt.
- "My team is on Vercel." v0.
- "I want something like Lovable, priced differently." Base44, or Mythex if you also want an IDE.
- "I never want to see code." Bubble, Base44 or Softr.
- "I'm building a portal for lots of outside users." Zite or Softr; Mythex if you want custom code and your own database.
- "I'm building in Arabic." Mythex; see AI app builders for Arabic.
- "I'm a developer." Cursor, or Replit for a cloud setup.

Questions to answer before you switch
Switching tools costs time, so it is worth being precise about what you want the new one to do better. Four questions sort most cases.
1. Is the problem the tool, or the prompt? Many frustrations with any AI builder — changes that break other screens, a design that drifts — come from asking for too much at once. Before leaving, try smaller, more specific requests and a planning step. Our guide to prompting AI app builders covers patterns that work across tools.
2. What does the app need to run? List the parts: web pages, a database, file uploads, login, payments, scheduled jobs, a mobile app. If everything is web and data, most chat builders will do. If you need a background worker or an App Store listing, your shortlist narrows to Replit, Bolt (through Expo), Anything, Bubble or FlutterFlow.
3. Who will maintain it? If you will keep changing it by chatting, choose the builder whose chat you prefer. If a developer will take over, favour a tool with clean Git sync and a standard stack, and check that the backend can move with the code.
4. How will you pay as it grows? Credits, tokens, seats and workload units scale differently. A tool with unlimited members suits a team that shares one budget; a per-seat tool suits a single builder. Check how hosting is billed, not just building.
If the answers point back to Lovable, that is a good result: you have learned what to ask for, and you keep a working app.
How to switch without losing work
- Connect Git first. Lovable's Git sync puts your code in your own repository, whatever you do next.
- List what lives in the backend. Tables, auth users, stored files and functions all need a new home if you leave Lovable Cloud.
- Rebuild a thin slice in the new tool — one screen that reads and writes real data — before moving everything.
- Move data last, once the new version works.
- Keep the old app running until the new one has handled real users for a few days.
- Move the domain at the end. If your app uses a custom domain, point it at the new host only after the new version has been tested with real data. Lower the DNS record's TTL a day before so the change spreads quickly, and keep the old app available until traffic has moved. How domains and DNS work explains the records involved.
- Tell your users what changes. If they will need to sign in again or reset a password because auth moved to a new provider, say so before the switch, not after.
If you are moving to Mythex, you can import a .zip of your Lovable code into a Mythex project or describe the app and let it rebuild; GitHub, export and import explains the options, and how to migrate from Lovable to Mythex walks through it step by step.

Questions
What is the best alternative to Lovable?
It depends on why you are leaving. Bolt for faster prototypes, Replit for a full IDE and App Store apps through Expo, v0 for Next.js on Vercel, Base44 for a similar managed all-in-one, Bubble or FlutterFlow for visual building and native mobile, and Mythex for chat plus code, a terminal, a database and hosting in one workspace.
Is there a free alternative to Lovable?
Most tools in this list have a free tier as of October 2026, each with a small daily or monthly allowance, including Mythex, Bolt, v0, Base44, Bubble, FlutterFlow and Zite. None is free for serious ongoing use.
Can I move my Lovable project to another tool?
Lovable offers Git sync, so your code can go to a repository you own. Moving the backend is more work if your app uses Lovable Cloud, because the database, auth users and stored files live there and need a new home.
Is Lovable better than Bolt?
For non-developers who want a guided full-stack web app with on-page editing, many will prefer Lovable. For the quickest in-browser prototype, or mobile apps through Expo, Bolt is the stronger choice.
Which Lovable alternative builds mobile apps?
As of October 2026, FlutterFlow, Bubble and Anything advertise App Store publishing, Replit documents publishing Expo apps to the App Store, and Bolt has an Expo integration. Mythex builds web apps and, on Pro, can wrap one as an Android and iPhone app for Google Play internal testing and TestFlight.
