Stock Location, Client Portal and Billing Apps for 3PL Warehouses

Mythex lets a third-party warehouse build stock tracking by client, SKU and location code, a client portal for stock levels, advance shipping notices and order status, billing per pallet per week plus handling and ad hoc work, and a dashboard of dock-to-stock time. Describe your operation and publish it.

What a third-party warehouse needs from software

Stock belongs to clients, sits in a location, and moves. Trucks arrive to booked dock slots, cartons are checked against an advance shipping notice, pallets are put away, and orders arrive from clients' web shops to be picked and packed before the carrier cut-off. In smaller operations the location of half the stock is remembered by whoever put it away, order files come by email, and month-end billing means reconstructing how many pallets were in the building each week. Relabelling and urgent picks go unbilled because nobody wrote them down. Every pallet needs a location, and every client needs a live view of their own stock.

  • Stock per client and SKU with aisle, bay and level
  • Lot numbers and expiry dates for dated goods
  • Advance shipping notices before every inbound
  • Order status through to carrier tracking reference
  • Pallet-weeks, handling and accessorial work billed
  • Equipment licences on staff for shift planning

What you can build for warehouse operators

Every pallet has a location code

Track stock by client and SKU, so the same product code can exist separately for two clients, with location codes for aisle, bay and level. Lot and expiry are recorded for food and cosmetics. Every move, including replenishment from bulk to pick faces, is logged, and cycle counts by location check accuracy without closing for a stocktake.

Build an inventory app for my 3PL warehouse. Stock is held per client and SKU in locations coded aisle-bay-level, with lot numbers and expiry dates where needed. Record receipts, put-aways, moves between locations, picks and adjustments, and support cycle counts by location with variances flagged.

A client view of their own stock

Each client sees only their stock by SKU, updated as receipts and picks are recorded. They submit advance shipping notices before deliveries, follow orders from received to dispatched with tracking references, and see receiving discrepancies with photos of short or damaged cartons.

Build a client portal for my warehouse. Each client sees only their own stock levels by SKU, submits advance shipping notices before inbound deliveries, sees order status from received to dispatched with the carrier tracking reference, and sees receiving discrepancies with photos.

Pallet-weeks from what was actually in the building

Calculate storage per pallet per week from daily or weekly snapshots, add handling for inbound, picks, packing materials and outbound as separate lines, and include accessorial work logged during the month. Each invoice carries an activity breakdown the client can reconcile.

Create billing for my 3PL warehouse. Storage is charged per pallet per week from a weekly snapshot of pallets held per client. Add per-unit charges for inbound receiving, picks, packaging and outbound from the activity log, plus accessorial jobs like relabelling logged with time spent. Show an activity breakdown on each monthly invoice.

Dock-to-stock time by client

Show space use by zone, orders dispatched before the cut-off, dock-to-stock time per client, and picks per hour with error rate. Dock-to-stock per client shows which suppliers send badly labelled deliveries.

Make a dashboard for my warehouse showing rack utilisation by zone, percentage of orders dispatched before cut-off, dock-to-stock time per client, and picks per hour and pick error rate by week.

Shifts planned against inbound and orders

Plan shifts from expected deliveries and order volume, tag each person with the equipment they are licensed for, and make sure every receiving window has a licensed forklift or reach truck driver.

Build a shift planner for my warehouse. Staff have equipment licences (forklift, reach truck, pallet truck). Plan shifts against booked inbound deliveries and expected order volume, and warn when a shift has no licensed forklift driver.

A site that states cut-off and receiving time

E-commerce brands want same-day dispatch and fast receiving. Put the order cut-off and typical receiving turnaround on the home page, explain each service and racking type, and use a quote form asking for pallet counts, order volumes and product types.

Make a website for my third-party warehouse with services (pallet storage, pick and pack, cross-docking, returns), storage capacity and racking types, our order cut-off time and receiving turnaround, carriers used, and a quote form asking for pallets, monthly orders and product types.

Getting orders in

Many clients' web shops can export orders as CSV, and most store platforms offer APIs. Start with a CSV upload in the client portal; when a client is ready, ask Mythex to connect to their store platform's API using credentials they provide. Keep each integration per client, so one client's change cannot break another's orders.

  • CSV order upload to start
  • Store platform API per client later
  • Carrier tracking references entered or imported

Log accessorial work as it happens

Relabelling, kitting, rework and urgent picks often go unbilled because nobody remembers them at month end. A one-screen log on a phone or tablet, with client, task and minutes, feeds the invoice directly.

Questions

Can each client see only their own stock?

Yes. Ask for client logins with every query limited to that client's stock, orders and invoices.

Can it connect to my clients' online stores?

Mythex can connect to a store platform's API if the client gives you access. Start with CSV order uploads and add integrations client by client.

Can staff use barcode scanners?

Scanners that type into a text field work with the app's input boxes. For camera scanning on phones, ask Mythex for a scan screen in the browser and test it on your devices.

Do I need to code?

No. You describe the app and change it by chatting. On Pro you can edit or export the code.

Is it free?

The Free plan needs no credit card and gives daily credits, enough to build and publish a first version. Pro is $25/month.
