Hindu Temple Website and Puja Booking, Built from a Description
Mythex lets a Hindu temple committee build a website with darshan and aarti times and the year's festival dates from your own panchang, puja and priest home visit bookings that block travel time, and donation receipts issued by fund at the moment of giving. Describe how the temple office works today, see it in a live preview, and publish it.
A calendar that moves with the panchang
Daily pujas and aartis run alongside services devotees book: archana, abhishekam, homam, and priests visiting homes for a griha pravesh, naming ceremony or satyanarayan puja. Festival dates follow the panchang and move every year, and Diwali, Navratri and Ganesh Chaturthi bring crowds, prasad and volunteer rosters for kitchen, shoe racks, parking and queues. Weekend classes cover bhajans, languages and dance. Much of it runs on a paper register, a donation book and phone calls, and during a festival week the office cannot keep up with receipts.
- Puja bookings matched to priest availability
- Home visits with travel time blocked
- Names, gotra and nakshatra stored per family where used
- Receipts issued by fund at the time of giving
- Festival volunteer rosters with one role per person
- Festival-to-festival comparisons, not month-to-month
What you can build for hindu temples
Puja and home visit bookings that protect the priests' day
Devotees book a puja by type, date and time against the priest's availability. Home visits record the address and ceremony and block travel time either side, popular dates are capped, and the form asks for the names and details your priests use.
Build a booking system for our Hindu temple. Devotees book archana, abhishekam, homam and other services by date and time, based on each priest's availability. Home visits (griha pravesh, naming ceremony, satyanarayan puja) record the address and block travel time before and after. The form collects names, gotra and nakshatra. Limit bookings on major festival days.
Darshan times and this year's festival dates
Daily darshan, puja and aarti times updated for festivals, services with booking details, the year's festival dates entered from the committee's panchang, and a visitor page on dress, footwear, photography and prasad.
Create a website for our Hindu temple with daily darshan, puja and aarti times the office can update, a list of services with suggested donations and booking links, this year's festival dates entered by the committee, a visitor guide (dress, footwear, photography in the shrine, prasad), and directions and parking.
Family profiles for quick archana bookings
Families keep the names used in sankalpams spelled their way, with gotra and nakshatra if your priests use them, see past and upcoming bookings with the assigned priest, check class enrolment, and download donation receipts for any year.
Make a devotee portal for our temple. Families store member names, gotra and nakshatra for archanas, see upcoming and past puja bookings with the assigned priest, check children's class enrolment and fees, and download donation receipts by year.
Festival programs, performers and sponsorships
Each festival lists events with timings and venue within the temple, performers register separately from the audience with item duration and stage needs, sponsorships for pujas, decorations or meals are recorded against the event, and volunteers sign up by day.
Build a festival events app for our temple. Each festival has events with time and hall, a performer registration form (item, duration, contact, music and stage needs), sponsorship options for puja, prasad, flowers or meals recorded against the festival, and volunteer sign-ups by day and role.
One clear role per volunteer on Diwali night
Priests scheduled across daily rituals, bookings and home visits without overlap; kitchen and prasad volunteers in shifts; parking, shoe rack and queue volunteers for the biggest evenings; and class teachers per term.
Create a schedule for our temple: priests across daily pujas, booked services and home visits with no overlaps, and festival volunteer shifts for kitchen, prasad, parking, shoe racks, queues and cleanup, with a view of unfilled roles per day.
Receipts by fund, issued on the spot
Puja bookings show the temple's suggested donation, hall invoices list hall, kitchen, cleaning and priest services separately, class fees bill per family per term, and receipts name the fund and date.
Build invoicing and receipts for our temple: a receipt issued immediately for each donation or puja booking naming the fund (general, festival, building), hall hire invoices with hall, kitchen, cleaning and priest services as lines, and term class fees per family with a sibling rate.
Classes and children's details
Bhajan, language and dance classes hold children's names and parent contacts, and recordings or photos of children need parent consent. Ask for logins so only teachers and coordinators see registers, and check the safeguarding and data rules where the temple operates. A simple progress record per child, shared each term, keeps families committed to weekend classes.
- Registers visible to teachers only
- Parent consent for photos and recordings
- Progress shared each term
Membership and elections
Record membership categories (family, individual, life member) and voting rules exactly as the constitution states them, with renewals and amounts paid. An accurate list lets the committee send meeting notices with confidence and avoids disputes at election time.
Questions
Can devotees book pujas online?
Yes. Devotees choose the service, date and time from priests' availability, and the booking stores the details the priest needs.
Can festival dates follow our panchang?
Yes. The committee enters each year's dates as confirmed from the temple's panchang, and the site shows them. Mythex does not calculate the panchang itself.
Can the site be in more than one language?
Yes. You can have English alongside Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati or other languages, and you can write to Mythex in those languages.
Can it issue donation receipts?
It can issue receipts by fund and an annual summary per donor. Check the local rules on what an official receipt must include.
Is it free for a temple?
The temple can build on the Free plan without a card and publish straight away. Pro at $25 a month adds the temple's own domain and more credits.
