Logistics Company Software: Consignment Tracking, Client Portals and Freight Invoicing
Mythex lets a logistics company build one shared status for every consignment: a website with quote requests and tracking lookup, a client portal with milestones and proof of delivery, a CRM organised by lanes and rates, consolidated invoices with surcharges, and warehouse stock kept per client. Describe your services in chat, check the live preview and publish with a real database.
What 'where is my delivery?' costs you
A small logistics operator sells reliability built on parts it does not fully control: carriers, customs brokers, warehouse slots and drivers. Clients book by email and phone and then ask for status constantly, and the only way to answer is to call the driver or the broker. Waiting time and extra drops get remembered days later and disputed. Account customers pay monthly on credit terms, warehoused stock belongs to clients and must match their counts, and peaks arrive with retail seasons and port disruption. What the company needs is a consignment record that staff, drivers and clients all see, with the milestones, documents and charges attached.
- Milestones per consignment: collected, in transit, customs, delivered
- Proof of delivery and customs documents on the consignment
- Surcharges like waiting time and tail-lift logged when they happen
- Monthly invoices for account customers on credit terms
- Warehouse stock kept per client, down to the location
- Lanes, rates and lost-quote reasons per account
What you can build for logistics companies
A site that names your real lanes
Service pages for freight, courier, warehousing and customs describe the regions and lanes you actually run. The quote form takes origin, destination, weight, dimensions and pallet count, and a tracking box finds a consignment by reference.
Build a website for my logistics company with pages for road freight, same-day courier, warehousing and customs clearance listing the lanes and regions we cover, our insurance cover, a quote form for origin, destination, weight, dimensions and pallets, and a tracking lookup by consignment reference.
A client portal with milestones and proof of delivery
Clients see each consignment's status at every handover, download POD photos and signatures, and find customs paperwork stored with the shipment. They book new collections that land straight in the operations queue.
Make a client portal for my logistics company. Clients see their consignments with milestones (booked, collected, in transit, at customs, delivered), proof of delivery photos and signatures, and customs documents per consignment. They can book a new collection, which goes to our operations queue.
Accounts organised by lane, volume and rate
Each account records its regular lanes, typical weekly volume, agreed rates, credit terms and limit. Contacts are split by role, and the quote pipeline records why every lost quote was lost.
Make a CRM for a logistics company. Accounts have regular lanes, weekly volume, agreed rates per lane, credit terms and credit limit. Contacts have roles (shipping, finance, decision-maker). Quotes move through sent, trial lane, won, lost with a lost reason (price, transit time, capacity).
Invoices built from completed consignments
Each consignment reference becomes an invoice line, with fuel, waiting time and tail-lift surcharges from the driver's timed report. Duties paid on the client's behalf are recharges, separate from service fees, and account customers get one consolidated invoice a month.
Create an invoicing app for my logistics company. Completed consignments become invoice lines with reference, route and rate. Add surcharges (fuel %, waiting time per 15 minutes, tail-lift) from the driver's job report, show duties and taxes paid for the client as separate recharges, and send account customers one monthly invoice.
Warehouse stock that stays each client's own
Stock is held per client with bay and bin locations for each SKU. Inbound receipts and outbound picks are recorded against orders, and storage is charged by pallet per week.
Build a warehouse inventory app for my logistics company. Stock belongs to a client and has SKU, quantity and bay location. Record inbound receipts and outbound picks against client orders, never mix two clients in one location, and calculate weekly storage charges per pallet.
On-time rate and margin per lane
See on-time delivery by client and lane, consignments stuck at a stage such as customs, margin per consignment after carrier cost, and warehouse occupancy.
Build a dashboard for my logistics company showing on-time delivery rate by client and lane, consignments stuck at customs more than 2 days, margin per consignment after carrier cost grouped by lane, and warehouse pallet occupancy.
Where to start
Begin with status, because it removes the most calls. Load open consignments with their client and reference, and have drivers or the office mark two milestones, collected and delivered with a photo, for every job. When that runs daily, open the portal to your three most demanding clients. Invoicing from completed consignments and the warehouse module come next.
- Collected and delivered marked on every job
- Portal for the clients who call most
- Invoices from completed consignments
From WhatsApp groups to a consignment record
Driver WhatsApp groups are quick, but photos of a damaged pallet or a timed note about waiting at a depot get lost in them. Keep chat for chat, and put proof of delivery, waiting time and damage notes on the consignment where the client and the invoice can see them.
Questions
Can clients track their shipments online?
Yes. Give each client a login to see their consignments and milestones, or add a public tracking lookup by reference. Status is only as current as the updates staff or drivers add.
Can drivers upload proof of delivery?
Yes. Drivers open the job in a phone browser and add a photo and signature at the drop. On Pro you can also get Android and iPhone apps that open your published app.
Can it connect to carrier tracking or our TMS?
If a carrier or your transport system offers an API, you can connect it with your own account. Otherwise CSV imports keep data in step.
Do we need developers?
No. You describe the workflow in plain language and Mythex builds it. On Pro you can edit the code, export it or connect GitHub if you have technical staff.
What does it cost?
You can build and publish on the Free plan without a card. Pro is $25/month and adds a custom domain, code editing, export and credit top-ups.
