Mythex Is Now on iPhone and Android

Mythex now has its own iPhone and Android app. Build and edit apps by chat, watch the live preview, and get a notification when a build is done.

Mythex now has its own app for iPhone and Android phones. You can build and edit apps by chatting, watch the live preview on your phone, publish, and get a push notification when the agent has finished. It is the same account, the same projects and the same credits as the website.

Get it from the App Store (search for "Mythex: AI App Builder") or Google Play. Both links are also on mythex.ai/download.

What you can do from your phone

The app is not a cut-down companion. The things you do in a project on the website, you can do in the app:

  • Build and edit by chat. Type what you want, or use voice input and say it.
  • See the live preview. Swipe between the chat and the running app. While the agent works, a small pill on the preview shows what it is doing right now, so you can tell a long build from a stuck one.
  • Publish your app to a public link.
  • Connect services with connectors.
  • Find your projects in the projects library, and change your settings.
  • Buy a plan or credits inside the app, through Apple on iPhone and Google Play on Android. They are the same plans as on the web.

The app is in more than 60 languages, like the website.

Why a phone app

Building with an agent has a lot of waiting in it. You describe a change, and the agent spends a few minutes writing code, running it and checking the result. Nobody needs to stare at that.

On a phone, you can send the request, lock the screen and get on with your day. When the build finishes, a push notification tells you. Open the project, look at the preview and ask for the next change.

It also means an idea doesn't have to wait until you are back at a laptop. You can start a project on the train, check it at lunch and keep going on the big screen in the evening.

How it fits with the website

There is one Mythex account, and the app and the website are two ways into it:

  • Same projects. Anything you start in the app is on the website, and the other way round.
  • Same credits and plan. A plan bought in the app counts on the web, and a plan you already have works in the app.
  • Same sign-in. Use Google, Apple or email. If you are new, you can create an account with email in the app.

New versions of the app come through the App Store and Google Play. If an older version stops being supported, the app shows an "Update required" screen with a button to the store.

Phone apps for what you build

This app is for using Mythex on your phone. Turning a project you built into its own Android or iPhone app is a separate feature, on the Pro plan: the agent builds it and sends it to Google Play or TestFlight. The docs cover it in Mobile apps.

Questions

Can I buy a Mythex plan in the app?

Yes. Plans and credits can be bought inside the app, through Apple on iPhone and Google Play on Android. They are the same plans as on the Mythex website and apply to your whole account.

Do I need a new account for the Mythex app?

No. Sign in with the Google, Apple or email account you use on mythex.ai and your projects and credits are already there. New users can create an account with email inside the app.

Is there a Mythex app for iPad or Android tablets?

No. The App Store app is for iPhone and the Google Play app is for Android phones. On a tablet, open mythex.ai in the browser; the website does everything the app does.
