Customer Portals, Renewal Billing and Plan Pages for Small Web Hosts
Mythex lets a small web hosting company build plan comparison pages that show renewal prices, an order form that asks only for the domain, a customer portal listing every plan, domain and mailbox with its renewal date, renewal invoices sent early to more than one contact, and a dashboard of revenue at risk. Describe your products and publish it.
What a small web host needs from software
Revenue is recurring and scattered: hosting plans on monthly or yearly cycles, domains renewing on their own anniversaries, mailboxes nobody thinks about until they stop working. The control panel and registrar account do the technical work, while customers, tickets and renewals are tracked across a billing tool, a spreadsheet and an inbox. The classic disaster is a domain lapsing because every reminder went to a former employee's address. A small host needs each customer linked to everything they pay for, several contacts per account, renewals visible weeks ahead, and contact details confirmed regularly.
- Customers linked to plans, domains and mailboxes
- Owner, billing and web designer as separate contacts
- Renewal dates per domain and per plan
- Renewal invoices early, reminders to more than one contact
- Proration on upgrades and added mailboxes
- Tickets linked to the affected site or domain
What you can build for web hosting companies
Everything a customer pays for on one screen
Customers see their plans, domains and mailboxes with renewal dates, update billing and contact email, open support tickets linked to the affected site, and download invoices. Each login asks them to confirm their contact email a few times a year, and a bounced address is flagged.
Build a customer portal for my web hosting company. Customers see their hosting plans, domains and mailboxes with renewal dates, update billing and contact details, open support tickets linked to a site or domain, and download invoices. Ask them to confirm their contact email every 90 days and flag addresses that bounced.
Renewals invoiced early enough for a second try
Each plan bills on its own cycle and each domain on its own anniversary. Renewal invoices go out well before expiry with reminders to the owner and billing contact, upgrades are prorated, and unpaid renewals are listed so suspension or lapse is a deliberate decision under your stated grace policy.
Create billing for my web hosting company. Plans invoice monthly or yearly on their own cycle, domains invoice 30 days before each anniversary with reminders at 14 and 3 days to both owner and billing contacts, mid-term upgrades and extra mailboxes are prorated, and unpaid renewals appear on a list with the expiry date.
Plan tables with the renewal price beside the first year
Buyers have been burned by cheap first years. Show storage, sites, mailboxes, backups and support hours side by side with the renewal price, domain pricing by extension including renewals, a status page link, migration terms, and a plain page on where servers are and how backups work.
Make a website for my web hosting company with a plan comparison table (storage, sites, mailboxes, backups, support hours, first-year and renewal price), domain pricing by extension with renewal prices, a migration page, a page on server location and backups, and support response times by plan.
An order form that does not ask about nameservers
Sell plans as recurring products and domains by extension, with add-ons like extra mailboxes or premium backups attached to an existing plan. Ask for the domain and whether it is new or transferring; do the technical setup yourself after payment.
Build an order flow for my web hosting company selling plans monthly or yearly, domain registration and transfer by extension, and add-ons attached to an existing plan. The form asks only for the domain and whether it is new or a transfer, then sends a setup email. Payments go through my own payment provider account.
The web designer behind each site
Link each account to its domains, plans and mailboxes, with the owner, billing person and web designer as separate contacts. Agencies and resellers hold many end clients, and when an agency leaves you want to know which sites may follow.
Make a CRM for my web hosting company. Accounts link to domains, plans and mailboxes, with separate owner, billing and web designer contacts. Reseller and agency accounts hold many end clients. Note late payers and show all renewals per account.
Renewals at risk over ninety days
Chart monthly recurring revenue by hosting, domains and email, renewals due in ninety days with the unpaid value highlighted, churn by plan and month of term, and ticket volume per customer.
Make a dashboard for my hosting company showing MRR by product type, renewals due in the next 90 days with unpaid value highlighted, churn by plan and month of term, and support tickets per customer against revenue.
What stays in your control panel and registrar
Provisioning, DNS and mailbox creation stay in your hosting control panel and registrar. Mythex does not run servers or register domains for your customers. If your panel or registrar offers an API, you can ask Mythex to connect it so new orders create accounts automatically; otherwise staff provision by hand when an order arrives.
- Panel and registrar: provisioning
- Mythex app: customers, billing, portal, tickets
- API connection where your providers offer one
Write the grace period into your terms
Customers remember the host that let their domain lapse, even when the unpaid invoice was theirs. Decide how long a domain or plan stays active after a failed renewal, say it in your terms and the reminder emails, and let the unpaid list show which accounts are inside that window.
Questions
Can Mythex provision hosting accounts or register domains?
No. Provisioning stays in your control panel and registrar. If they offer APIs, Mythex can call them from your app so orders create accounts automatically.
Can it send renewal reminders to more than one contact?
Yes. Store several contacts per account and send each reminder to the owner and billing contact, through an email service you connect.
Can customers pay by card on a recurring basis?
Yes, through a payment provider on your own account that supports subscriptions. Mythex builds the checkout and renewal logic around it.
Do I need to code?
No, though you can. On Pro you can edit the code, export it and push to GitHub.
Is it free?
The Free plan needs no credit card and gives daily credits, enough to build and publish a first version. Pro is $25/month.
